It took a year, but I finally replaced that terrible sink! The studio I use for Velopez comes with a miserably ugly utility sink; one that might be more at home in a wood shop or one of those places spark factories they use in Poison music videos.
I ripped it out of the wall and put in a shiny, new ikea sink. The installation progressed smoothly, for an amateur plumber, with one exception. Apparently my building has incredibly old school pipes so not only did the sink and water source have differently sized connectors, they were also both female connectors.
The gentleman at the hardware store chuckled at my frequent trips.
In the end, however, I managed to get things installed successfully. And it looks sweet! Besides the old sink's bitter and complete lack of beauty, it additionally took up too much space. The studio is just big enough to do my fitting work and every square foot is precious. This tiny little sink has given me a bit more space =-D.
