How to use the online features.

 

If you have an account with the BikeFit app you have access to some great features before and after your fit.   Below is step-by-step description of a basic fit scenario and where the online features fit in.  

1. Log In

The Client List and Save to Web Buttons are grayed out

Are you logged in?  If the Client List and Save to Web buttons are grayed out, you probably aren't logged in.  Go to the Settings Page to log in.  Once you are logged in, you can make use of the online features described below.

When you log in for the first time, an account is created for you.   The online features described below are free for 3 months so you can try them out.  

2. The Pre-Fit Intake Form

Every active account includes a web-based intake form that you can send to fit clients prior to the fit.  Once the client fills out the form, they will appear in your Client List on the app.   Your login email is included in the url for the intake form.  So the if your email was fitter@velopezdigital.com the url will be

http://intake.bikefit.com?fitter=fitter@velopezdigital.com

You just need to replace the email after the '=' sign with your account's email and the filled out forms will be sent to your ipad.

3. Saving to the cloud

As you do a fit with the app, all the notes, images, videos, and measurements are saved to your device automatically.  So if you close the app you can pick up where you left off.

With an active account comes the ability to save to the cloud.   You can tap on the Save To Web button in the Cyclist Info Screen to upload your work to your online account.  

Now you can email the fit to your client (see #4 below), view the fit online, and if you lose your device, you can log on to any iPad and pick up where you left off.

In your Client List you will see some names are in red and some are not.  The names in red are fits that are saved locally to your device, but not to the web yet.  If you load one of those fits and Save to Web that fit will no longer be red.  If you make additions to a fit that is already saved to the web, it will be come red again, until you save those new changes.


4. Email Post-Fit Report to Client

Once you finish your fit and Save to Web two buttons will appear in the Cyclist Info screen: Email Fit and View Fit.  

You can use Email Fit to open a prepared email with a link to the online fit report to your clients.   Their email will already be filled in.  

If a client wants a printout of their report you can use View Fit to open the online fit report and print from there.
